Below are just some the many reasons why the Anglo-Czech Ice Hockey School is one of the best schools of its kind in the world.
1. The program is designed and run by coaches such as the highly respected Jaroslav Horacek, author of the widely used "Czech Ice Hockey Association, Ice Hockey, Training manual" with his assistant being Jiri Rech, from the World Junior Champions National Program. They are second to none in their field, a boast that can be justified when considering how many players who have passed through their programs who are now deemed to be the best players in the world, eg Jagr & Hasek. Most of our staff members are full time professionals with between 5-7 years training as opposed to many other schools, who run their programs with the minimum semi-professional staff, some of whom don’t have junior experience, with the remaining staff made up from, although well meaning, amateur coaches / players.
2. The Anglo-Czech school have three top qualified coaches on the ice at all times, plus the support of qualified assistant coaches, (when necessary) giving the flexibility to cover all of the players with
individual guidance where necessary. We also include in some groups elite Czech Junior Players as group leaders. Another difference between this and other schools, who often have as few as one qualified
coach on the ice at any time.
3. The school boasts the ability to adjust the program at short notice, to accommodate all eventualities, giving the best possible training for all students. Some schools run with a set program, no matter what players they have on ice.
4. The Anglo-Czech ice time is all prime daytime ice. Unlike many schools whose ice time program has to revolve around availability and cost, with ice time very early morning or late evening - which in some cases interferes with the necessary recovery program of young players.
5. Our package includes all meals. This is done so that we can control the players food intake keeping it within what is required to maintain the body during this demanding period. Unlike some schools who exercise
no control in this period giving rise to incorrect foods being consumed which can at the very least interfere with the intense training levels required.
6. Although the medical system in the Czech Republic is outstanding, we at the school have doctor cover 24/7. We also use experienced staff in our Supervision program including Red Cross approved, and trainee nurses all with child experience, this cover also is 24/7.
7. Supervision to us means at 'all times' even in the re-generation, rest and free time periods.
