Welcome to the 2012 Anglo Czech Ice Hockey School, now spanning 22 years for players and netminders in the Czech Republic, producers of the finest junior set-ups in Europe - if not the world.
We offer one, two or three week options for players who are supervised by us from London to the camp and back at no extra cost.
We also accommodate families who wish to spend their vacation taking in the hockey with some of the great attractions locally, or to travel just a short distance [2.5 hrs] to Prague or Vienna taking in some of the most beautiful sites in Europe.
We offer a full intensive program for all players including a special program for netminders on and off the ice for all ages. Our experienced coaches and instructors have an excellent knowledge of English, which is the official camp language.
They have been involved in turning out many top quality players, many of whom have, and still do play in the Czech Extra League and the NHL. Just two examples of many Czech players playing at the highest level are Dominik Hasek and Jaromir Jagr.
The Czech Republic though a very small country has turned out some of the most successful players in NHL and other national leagues. Though small in size during 2007-2008 the Czechs had more players in the NHL than any other European country. The success of the Czech ice hockey is due to its time-tested competition proven coaching and training techniques now adopted by many leading hockey nations. To name just a few achievements the Czech National Team won the Olympic games in Nagano 1998 and the World Championships several times, most recently in Germany in 2010. The Czech Junior National Team won the World Championships in 1999 and 2000. In 2008 the Czech U-18 Woman stunned the world by capturing the bronze medal in the first ever World Championship in that age category.
Our long history of working with Czech Federation coaches puts us in a enviable position of having some the best coaches in Europe with their advanced training methods. Unfortunately having the best has its problems, for example last years head coach the highly respected Jaroslav Horacek, has been lost to Red Bull ice hockey. My friend Jaroslav Horacek author of the widely used Czech Ice Hockey Association, Ice Hockey Training manual will be missed by many. Fortunately we have many top coaches to choose from such as Radek Krivinci who is now our new highly respected head coach. Well known in the Czech Republic he has helped develop some of the best junior ice hockey players in the Czech Republic. With two assistant head coaches in Jiri Rech and Zbynek Sebor to head the coaching staff, this year is set to be another success. Among the other coaches for this year's school will be Martin Roupec, and Jiri Rech Junior to name just two. Coming Soon! Names and images of the rest of the team (See Staff page for updates). Together, I think you will agree they make a large formidable team, not seen at most schools, and guarantee the
best possible training needed to get the best from our young players in the short time they are with us.
Our group sizes are limited for the maximum individual benefit.
To avoid disappointment, we advise early booking.
