This year's Anglo Czech Ice Hockey School, now spanning 18 years for players and netminders,
in the Czech Republic, producers of the finest junior set-ups in Europe if not the world.
Our coaches have been involved in turning out many top quality players, many of whom have, and still do play in the Czech Extra League and the NHL. Just one example of many is Jagr.
Last year alone (2006) two players were chosen from our school and given 4 year scholarships to attend the highly respected Harrington College, one of Canada's leading schools for elite hockey players. We at “The Anglo Czech Ice Hockey School” would like to thank the Harrington College for giving our guys this opportunity and look forward to working with them in introducing more players to this opportunity. Those of you interested in information re Harrington college scholarships drop me a line.
We are fortunate to have the backing of the Czech Federation who allow some of their premier coaches, including coaches from their National program to take an active part in the school.
This year's head coach is none other than the highly respected Jaroslav Horacek, author of the widely used Czech Ice Hockey Association, Ice Hockey, Training manual with his assistant being Jiri Rech.
Among the other coaches for this year's school will be Aless Totter, Martin Roupec, Zbynek Sebor, Radek Krivinka and Jiri Rech Junior, to name just a few of the large coaching staff. More top coaches to be included at a later date. (See Staff page for updates.) Together, I think you will agree they make a large formidable team, not seen at most schools, and guarantee the
highest level of flexibility and the best possible training needed to get the best from our young players in the short time they are with us.
We believe the success of our school can be best measured by the number of British and foreign players who return year on year and the ever-increasing high
number of Czech players who join us each year [up to 25%].
Our group sizes are limited for the maximum individual benefit and therefore, to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to send your application as soon as possible.
